Accessibility Statement

Working draft

This is a working draft published for transparency. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and will be finalized before public launch.

Civicognita is committed to making civicognita.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. This statement describes what we aim for, what we do, and where we still fall short.

01Our commitment

The case for an inclusive economy has to start with an inclusive website. We want civicognita.com to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for the widest possible range of people — regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.

02Standards we aim for

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines are the widely-recognized standard for accessible web content, and they guide how we build, review, and improve the Site.

03Measures we take

  • Semantic, structured HTML with a logical heading order.
  • Meaningful text alternatives for non-decorative images and icons.
  • Sufficient color contrast against our dark canvas, and a design that does not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation with a visible focus state on interactive elements.
  • Respect for the “reduced motion” system setting, so animations are minimized for those who prefer it.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow cleanly for zoom and small screens.

04Known limitations

civicognita.com is in active development, and we have not yet completed a full third-party accessibility audit. Some pages, newer components, or embedded third-party content may not yet fully meet our target. We treat any gap we find as a bug to fix, not a limitation to accept.

05Feedback

If you hit a barrier, or something is hard to use, please tell us — your report genuinely helps. Email hello@civicognita.com or reach us in our Discord community. Where you can, include the page, your browser or assistive technology, and what went wrong.

06Alternative formats on request

Need information from this Site in a different format? Email hello@civicognita.com and we will do our best to provide the content in a form that works for you.
